My sixth Big Sur Marathon and tenth marathon is all wrapped up. Didn’t really train, but I did get those two long runs in. They did enough-I finished under the 6 hour mark. Wasn’t my worst marathon but it was my worst Big Sur, as far as time. The run/walk, though, was magical for recovery time, I was walking normally within an hour of crossing the finish.
Now that the marathon is wrapped all of my longer term goals are wrapped, too.
I’ve never struggled so much with a blog but maybe if I post a few more “I’m really struggling” posts then it’ll get out of my system?
Or maybe I’ll just start planning my seventh Big Sur run. My dad once said that degrees and sports (running) offer a nice, false sense of purpose. I’ll take the nice part!
